Peru – Spain International Conference at the IPA

[:es] El pasado 19 de noviembre, nuestro Socio Rodolfo Miranda y el español Ignacio Diaz (Socio en Clifford Chance, Madrid), presentaron una ponencia en la Conferencia Internacional Perú – España en el IPA sobre el Arbitraje de Multipartes/Multicontratos y los criterios y requisitos para la consolidación del arbitraje. Sobre el particular, se sostuvo un conversatorio entre los abogados en donde se acentuaron las principales características de los distintos tipos de arbitrajes y como estos funcionaban conforme a la legislación peruana y española. Se tocó también el impacto en los que la pluralidad de partes o contratos suscritos pudiesen tener como resultado controversias de por medio que pudiesen derivar en la propia anulación del arbitraje. Nuestro socio finalmente planteó recomendaciones de cómo se debe tratar el fenómeno de los arbitrajes Multipartes y Multicontratos en los Convenios Arbitrales.  [:en] Last November 19, our Partner Rodolfo Miranda and the Spanish Ignacio Diaz (Partner at Clifford Chance, Madrid), gave a presentation at the Peru - Spain International Conference at the IPA on Multiparty/Multicontract Arbitration and the criteria and requirements for the consolidation of arbitration. In this regard, a discussion was held among the lawyers where the main characteristics of the different types of arbitration and how they work under Peruvian and Spanish law were emphasized. The impact in which the plurality of parties or contracts subscribed could result in disputes that could lead to the annulment of the arbitration itself was also discussed. Finally, our partner made recommendations on how to deal with the phenomenon of multi-party and multi-contract arbitrations in arbitration agreements.  [:]
